Casey Powell

Casey Powell, MBA, has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Casey's most recent position was as a Senior Consultant Strategic Initiatives at The Hartford since May 2023. Prior to that, Casey worked at Nassau Financial Group from March 2022 to present, holding roles as Director of Operations - Service Provider Oversight and Service Provider Oversight - Health Lead. In these positions, Casey was responsible for operational oversight of health and accident policies, coordination of legal and regulatory changes for third-party claims administrators, and management of third-party administrator relationships.

Before joining Nassau Financial Group, Casey held the position of Varsity Assistant Boy's Soccer Coach at Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District 191 since August 2020. Casey also has extensive experience as a Youth Soccer Coach at Burnsville Valley United Soccer Club from October 2014 to July 2021, where they focused on coaching boys aged 14-18 and developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Casey's experience also includes roles at Cigna, where they worked as an Operating Effectiveness Lead Analyst from August 2018 to September 2020, a Disability Case Manager from July 2016 to July 2018, and a Provider Services Representative from March 2015 to July 2016. In these positions, Casey was involved in short-term claims processing forecasting and data analytics, disability claims management, and customer service in provider services.

Additionally, Casey worked as a Facilities Technician at Augsburg University from October 2011 to February 2015, where they were responsible for ice arena maintenance and management of the athletics sports dome. They also gained research experience as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Minnesota's Department of Plant Pathology, focusing on cereal disease resistance from June 2013 to August 2013 under Dr. Brian Steffenson.

Casey Powell, MBA completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus in International Business from Ashford University, from 2018 to 2019. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelor's degree in Biology, General from Augsburg University between 2011 and 2014. Casey first laid the foundation for their academic journey by obtaining a High School Diploma from Burnsville High School, where they completed their secondary education from 2008 to 2011.
