Colin Zhao

Colin Zhao has a diverse range of work experience in the technology industry. Colin most recently worked at Nassau Re as AVP, Web Development starting in March 2018. Prior to that, they served as Senior Tech Lead at The Phoenix Companies, Inc. from December 2014. Colin also worked as a Senior Consultant at WellPoint from October 2013 to December 2014.

Colin's earlier work experience includes a significant role as Lead Software Engineer at IPC Systems, Inc. where they led a team of 20 developers in the development of a client application. Colin was responsible for the architecture, design, and development of several major components of the product. This role lasted from July 2009 to September 2013.

Before joining IPC Systems, Inc., Colin worked as a Senior Architect at The Hartford from February 2006 to July 2009. Colin also held architectural roles at MetLife from 2005 and Travelers Life & Annuity from 2000 to 2005.

Colin Zhao earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Materials Science from the University of Connecticut, where they studied from 1989 to 1994.
