Dr. Stephanie L. Diez-Morel has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of social work and mental health. Dr. Stephanie is currently an Associate Professor at Pennsylvania Western University, where they teach graduate social work students and focuses on issues of justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion. Dr. Diez-Morel also serves as the Vice President of Budget and Finance at the National Association of Social Workers and as a Vice President at the International Gambling Counselor Certification Board (IGCCB).

Dr. Stephanie L. Diez-Morel, Ph.D., LCSW, IGDC, BACC, MCAP, completed their education at Florida International University. Dr. Stephanie attained their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology from 2008 to 2010. Following this, they pursued their Master of Social Work (MSW) degree specializing in Social Work, which they obtained from 2011 to 2013. Continuing their academic journey, they achieved their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Social Welfare from 2015 to 2019.

Alongside their educational accomplishments, Dr. Diez-Morel has acquired several certifications to enhance their professional expertise. Dr. Stephanie holds the BACC Board Approved Clinical Consultant certification from the International Gambling Counselor Certification Board (IGCCB), which they received in August 2021. Additionally, they are a Certified Youth Mental Health First Aid Trainer accredited by the National Council for Behavioral Health, earned in May 2020.
