Lydia Byarugaba Maison has a diverse work experience in various companies and roles. Lydia started their career in 2007 as a Systems & Program Administrator at Gender Links. Lydia then worked as a Product Manager at Prefix Technologies from 2009 to 2012. From 2012 to 2014, they served as a Senior Business Strategist and later as a Business Development Manager at Everlytic, focusing on market entry in Africa. At iHub Nairobi, they worked as a Senior Product Manager from 2014 to 2017. Lydia then joined Aspira Kenya as a Product & Tech Leader from 2017 to 2020. From 2021 to 2022, they worked as a Senior Product Manager at BFA Global, specifically for the Catalyst Fund. Currently, in 2022, they hold the role of Head of Product at Nation Media Group, where they drive strategy at the intersection of media and technology.
Lydia Byarugaba Maison completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Informatics (Hons) with a focus on Information Systems and Project Management at the University of Johannesburg from 2009 to 2010. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor in Information Systems with a specialization in Information Systems and e-Commerce from Bond University between 2003 and 2006.
