National Academy for Social Prescribing
Sarah Metcalfe serves as the Managing Director of The Utley Foundation since June 2021, leading a team focused on 'campaigning philanthropy' to drive social change. In addition, Sarah is a Trustee and Chair of Remco at the National Academy for Social Prescribing, contributing to the organization's governance. Prior experience includes serving as Executive Director of The Iona Community, where efforts were made to navigate the challenges of lockdown and prepare the community for reopening. As Chief Executive of Playlist for Life, Sarah developed the charity's business model and secured funding. Previous roles include Director at the Labour Resource Centre - Holyrood, Executive Assistant to the CEO at The British Library, and various positions within the Labour Party. Educational background includes an LL.B in Scots Law from the University of Aberdeen and study of Italian Law as an Erasmus Scholar at Università degli Studi di Palermo.
