Casey Gibson is an Associate Program Officer at the National Academy of Engineering, focusing on projects related to the CESER program, which emphasizes cultural, ethical, social, and environmental responsibility in engineering. Prior experience includes serving as a Research Assistant at the Colorado School of Mines on a NSF-funded project addressing sustainable practices in artisanal and small-scale gold mining in Colombia and an internship at MIT D-Lab developing environmental assessment tools for similar communities.
