Sharon Nunes is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in leadership roles and community engagement. Currently serving as Chair of The Falmouth Fund at The Cape Cod Foundation since December 2017, Sharon supports non-profit organizations benefiting residents of Falmouth. As a Member of the National Academy of Engineering since February 2019 and a Member of the Board of Directors at The Cape Cod Foundation since December 2014, Sharon is actively involved in initiatives that foster community development across Cape Cod. With a successful career at IBM, Sharon retired as VP of Smarter Cities and Green Innovations, where significant contributions included launching Big Green Innovations. Sharon's background encompasses various leadership roles, including Vice President of Technology and Director of Life Sciences Development at IBM, and participation in the Idaho EPSCoR Project Advisory Board from September 2013 to March 2018. Sharon Nunes earned a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Connecticut between 1978 and 1983.
