Laura DeStefano possesses extensive experience in strategic communications and engagement within prominent organizations. Currently serving as Director of Strategic Communications & Engagement at the National Academy of Medicine since September 2015, Laura has previously held multiple communications roles there, including Director and Associate Director of Communications. Prior experience includes positions as Communications Officer and Editorial Projects Manager at the Institute of Medicine from September 2011 to September 2015, and as Manager of AEI Press and Editorial & Marketing Associate at the American Enterprise Institute from September 2007 to September 2011. Laura obtained a B.A. in English from Dickinson College and has pursued further education at the University of Sussex, Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, and Georgetown University.
