Sanjiva Weerawarana

Sanjiva Weerawarana is the Founder, Director, CEO, and Chief Product Officer of WSO2, where extensive experience as Chief Architect has been utilized since August 2005. Additionally, Weerawarana is involved in various leadership roles, including Founder and Chairman of Avinya Foundation, which aims to enhance vocational education for youth, and Founder and Chairman of Lanka Data Foundation, focused on archiving public data in Sri Lanka. Weerawarana serves as a member of the Chamber Committee for The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce and has held notable positions such as Member of the Board of Directors at Sampath Bank and Sri Lanka Institute of Nanotechnology. Education includes a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Purdue University and a strong mathematical background from Kent State University.
