Christopher Michel

Christopher Michel is an accomplished artist and entrepreneur currently serving as Artist-in-Residence at The Long Now Foundation and The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. As Managing Director at Nautilus Ventures, Christopher invests in a diverse portfolio of seed-stage startups. Additionally, Christopher holds board and advisory roles with Catchlight.io, the Union of Concerned Scientists, Adventure Scientists, Ne Timeas Restaurant Group, and previously with Dale Carnegie and The Center for Investigative Reporting. An experienced photographer, Christopher captures compelling stories from extreme locations around the world. Academic credentials include an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
