Katrina Hui

Katrina Hui is an Associate Program Officer at The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, where responsibilities include co-directing the Roundtable on Artificial Intelligence and Climate Change and the Roundtable on Macroeconomics and Climate-Related Risks and Opportunities, along with fostering collaborations across various sectors to address climate resilience. Previously, as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory, Katrina analyzed tropical precipitation changes and monsoon variability. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Environmental Science and Engineering from Caltech, along with a Master of Science from Caltech and a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Early research experiences include work on statistical analysis of tropical storms and modeling for NASA and material science research at Université de La Rochelle.
