Stephen Comello serves as the Senior Vice President of the EFI Foundation and holds the position of Pillar Co-Chair for the Finance sector within Dentons' Smart Cities & Connected Communities Think Tank. Comello is a Committee Member for the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, focusing on Carbon Utilization Infrastructure, Markets, Research and Development. Additionally, Comello is an Affiliate in the Rapid Decarbonization Initiative at Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a Non-resident Senior Research Fellow at the Stanford Steyer-Taylor Center for Energy Policy and Finance. Previously, Comello has held various academic and advisory roles, including Lecturer and Director at Stanford GSB, Advisor at Carbon Direct, and Research Affiliate positions at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory and the University of Mannheim. Comello's educational background includes a PhD in Civil & Environmental Engineering and Management Science & Engineering from Stanford University, an M.Eng. in Industrial Engineering, and a B.A.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, both from the University of Toronto.
