Tucker Nelson

Tucker Nelson is an experienced Congressional Affairs Officer and Legislative Liaison currently serving at The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, involved in the Gulf Research Program since April 2020. Prior to this role, Tucker worked as Governmental Communications Manager at Ducks Unlimited, where efforts focused on securing Congressional support for the North American Wetlands Conservation Act. Tucker's experience includes a position as Press Assistant in the United States Senate, handling press releases and social media management, and as a Research Associate at The Center for Worker Freedom, where a grassroots campaign was led. Tucker has also gained valuable experience through internships at the U.S. Department of Commerce and in a mayoral campaign. Educational credentials include a BA in Political Science and Government from The University of the South.
