Amit Khera is currently serving as the Vice President and Executive Director of Genomic Medicine at Verve Therapeutics since January 2022. In addition, Amit holds roles as a Lecturer and Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School, and as a Cardiologist at Brigham and Women's Hospital since January 2022. Amit has been with Massachusetts General Hospital since July 2013 as the Associate Director of the Precision Medicine Unit and a Cardiologist. Previously, Amit was a Merkin Institute Fellow and Associate Director of the Cardiovascular Disease Initiative at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard from February 2019 to December 2021. Amit completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital from July 2010 to June 2013. Educational qualifications include a Masters of Science from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health (2015-2017), a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine (2005-2010), and a Bachelor of Science in Biology (Neuroscience) from Duke University (2001-2005).
