Professor Briony Dow

Professor Briony Dow is an accomplished academic and leader in the field of ageing and health promotion, currently serving as an Honorary Fellow and Director at the National Ageing Research Institute since February 2003. With a significant tenure as an Associate Professor at the University of Melbourne and leadership roles within the Australian Association of Gerontology, including President, Dow has extensively influenced gerontology practices and policies. Previous experience includes positions at the Department of Health & Human Services in Victoria and various roles in education at the University of Ballarat. Dow holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Sociology from Federation University Australia, and a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Melbourne.
