Ivan Perez

Ivan Perez currently serves as the Assistant Curator of Dolphin Discovery at the National Aquarium, a position held since August 2023. Previously, Ivan held various roles in marine mammal care and training, including Lead of Marine Mammals at Six Flags from July 2017 to August 2023, Marine Mammal Keeper at Brookfield Zoo Chicago from July 2016 to June 2017, and Marine Mammal Trainer at Dolphin Explorer from April 2015 to July 2016. Earlier experience includes a trainer role focused on husbandry at the Puerto Rico Manatee Conservation Center from February 2014 to April 2015, and a keeper position at Natural-Ambassadors from August 2009 to December 2012. Ivan Perez holds a Master of Science in Psychology from Arizona State University and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Inter American University of PR, Ponce Campus.
