Jennifer Black Tatara is an experienced archivist currently employed by the U.S. National Archives and Records Administration since September 2017. In this role, responsibilities include reviewing Presidential records for Freedom of Information Act requests and serving as a timekeeper proficient in the Quicktime Time & Attendance System. Prior positions include Archives Technician in various branches, where tasks ranged from de-restricting records and digitizing materials to responding to reference inquiries and assisting researchers. Tatara has held leadership roles, such as co-chair of the New Hire Team, and is knowledgeable in archival practices, customer service, and metadata management, supported by a Master’s Degree in Archives and Records Management from the University of Liverpool and a Bachelor’s Degree in History from Illinois Wesleyan University.
