Marisa Summers

Marisa Summers has extensive experience in executive management and board administration, currently serving as the Assistant to the President and Director of Executive and Board Affairs at the National Assembly of State Arts Agencies since April 2020. Previously, Marisa held various roles at Conservation International from April 2007 to March 2020, including Senior Manager for Board Meetings and Special Events and Manager of Operations and Finance. Marisa's early career includes positions such as Program Events Specialist at the Girl Scout Council of the Nations Capital and Education Center Manager at the Newseum. Educational qualifications include a Master's Degree in Museum Education from the University of the Arts, a Bachelor's Degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, a Certificate in Diversity and Inclusion in the Workplace from eCornell, and a current Certificate program from the American Management Association focused on effective facilitation skills.
