John Mason

John Mason is a seasoned professional in government affairs and public service with extensive experience in various leadership roles. Currently serving as a Board Member for the Public Affairs Council, Smithsonian's Anacostia Community Museum, and the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, Mason also holds the position of Chair for the Corporate Advisory Council at the Congressional Black Caucus Institute and is an Advisory Council Member for the Global African Diaspora Initiative. Since January 2019, Mason has been the Sr. Director of Federal Government Affairs at Altria, progressing through various roles within the organization. Additionally, involvement as a Board Member for The Congressional Award and the National Association of Business Political Action Committees, along with a previous role as Co-Chair of the Leadership Council at Miriam's Kitchen, underscores Mason's commitment to advocacy and community engagement. Mason holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from The Catholic University of America.
