Sheryl Thornton, CMP, DES, is an accomplished event management professional with extensive experience in overseeing large-scale meetings and events. Currently serving as the Senior Manager of Meetings and Events at the National Association of Corporate Directors since February 2011, Sheryl expertly manages all aspects of event planning, including venue selection, budget oversight, and vendor coordination. Previous roles include managing conference logistics at the Association of Science-Technology Centers and serving as Meetings Manager at NACUBO, where Sheryl facilitated logistics and acted as a liaison with key contractors. Additional experience includes coordinating catering sales at the Renaissance Washington Hotel and planning meetings for the Association of Career and Technical Education. Sheryl holds a degree from The City University of New York.
