Garima Dhakal

Garima Dhakal is currently serving as an HHS Research Intern at the National Association of Counties since November 2023. Previously, Garima worked as a Generalist at the Alliance of Community Health Plans from August 2022 to December 2022, conducting legislative and regulatory research related to Medicare, Medicaid, and the Affordable Care Act, as well as research on community-based health plans. From August 2020 to January 2021, Garima gained experience as a Health Administrative and Marketing Intern at FAITH & FAMILY ADVOCATE, LLC, focusing on operational efficiencies and patient health record management. Garima began the professional journey at Walmart, where roles included Pharmacy Technician and Cashier from August 2015 to August 2019. Garima is pursuing a Master's degree in Health System Management at George Mason University, expected to complete in May 2024, and holds a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and Health Science from Virginia Commonwealth University.
