Jenny Buechner

Jenny Buechner currently serves as the President of the National Association of the Deaf, a position held since July 2022. Buechner has extensive experience in the deaf community, working as a Deaf Interpreter at Professional Interpreting Enterprise Inc since February 2020 and as a consultant for self-employed endeavors from August 2018, focusing on access and training related to the oppression of deaf individuals. Previous roles include serving as Executive Director of Deaf Unity, Inc from January 2017 to July 2018, overseeing organizational programs and community outreach, and holding various positions at Hamilton Relay from 2004 to 2017, including Product Manager and Community Engagement Manager. Early career experience includes roles as a Deaf Mentor at Wisconsin Educational Services Program for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and as a Customer Service Representative at Society's Assets, Inc. Jenny Buechner earned a Bachelor of Social Work from Gallaudet University in 2002.
