Senior Grant Manager - Finance Department at National Audubon Society

Carrie Lindsey has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Carrie began their career in 1999 as an Employment Specialist at the Lawrence-Douglas County Housing Authority, where they created an in-house job support program and developed financial literacy classes and career advising services. Carrie later became the Director of Resident Services, leading a department that designed and managed support programs, resulting in numerous program participants graduating from college and purchasing homes. In 2015, Carrie joined Wichita Public Schools as the Wilbur Middle School Registrar, a position they held until 2018. Currently, they are working at the National Audubon Society as a Grant Specialist in the Finance Department, where they have recently been promoted to the role of Senior Grant Manager.

Carrie Lindsey is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Public Administration at Wichita State University. Carrie previously obtained a Bachelor's degree from the same university. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained certifications in various areas, including "Lead for Change" from the Kansas Leadership Center, "Leadership Lawrence" from The Chamber in Lawrence, Kansas, "Mental Health First Aid Training" from the Bert Nash Community Mental Health Center, and "Grantsmanship Center Certification" from the Grantsmanship Institute.
