Daniel Suarez

Senior Manager, Conservation at National Audubon Society

Daniel Suarez has several years of work experience in the environmental and conservation field. Daniel worked as a Stewardship Program Manager at the National Audubon Society starting in July 2018. Prior to that, they were a Stewardship Program Associate at the same organization, where they managed the Audubon Great Lakes internship program and supported volunteer stewardship in the Chicago Wilderness region.

Before joining the National Audubon Society, Daniel was a Co-leader at Habitat 2030, an organization focused on habitat restoration and conservation. Daniel also worked as a Research Assistant at the Chicago Botanic Garden, specifically in the Plants of Concern program.

Overall, Daniel has demonstrated their commitment to environmental stewardship through their various roles and responsibilities in conservation organizations.

Daniel Suarez obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Art History, Criticism and Conservation from City University of New York-Hunter College, where they studied from 2007 to 2010. Prior to that, they attended Northside College Prep from 2001 to 2005 for their high school education. In addition to their formal education, Suarez also obtained a certification as a Chicago Wilderness Midwest Ecological Prescription Burn Crew Member through training provided by Chicago Wilderness in January 2012.
