Hannah Pursley has a diverse work experience that spans multiple roles and industries. Hannah began their career as a Sales Associate at Kohl's Department Stores in 2015, where they maintained fitting rooms and provided customer service. In 2016, they served as a Natural Resources Management Intern at Carolina Beach State Park, conducting field surveys, assisting with environmental education programs, and performing maintenance tasks.

During their time at the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW), Hannah held leadership positions in various organizations. From 2016 to 2017, they were the President of the UNCW Environmental Concerns Organization, where they planned and participated in events to raise awareness about environmental issues and fundraise for nonprofits. At UNCW Sustainability, from 2016 to 2017, they worked as a Peer Educator and played a role in planning events, conducting waste audits, and assisting with the university's sustainability goals.

In 2017, Hannah transitioned to the food and beverage industry and worked as a Shift Supervisor at Drift Coffee & Kitchen. Their responsibilities included supervising and supporting team members, maintaining spreadsheets, monitoring inventory, and purchasing items as needed.

In 2018, Hannah joined ECI Environmental Consultants as a Distribution Utility Forester - Senior Forestry Specialist, contracted for Duke Energy Progress. Hannah conducted quality assurance inspections of tree trimming vendors' work around Duke's Utilities and performed reactive audits. Hannah also worked as a Field Technician Specialist for a brief period before assuming their role as a Senior Forestry Specialist.
