Marnie Urso

Senior Director, Policy, Audubon Great Lakes at National Audubon Society

Marnie Urso has a diverse and extensive work experience. Marnie began their career in 1998 as a Field Organizing Intern at the National Environmental Trust. From 1999 to 2005, they served as the Ohio State Director at the National League of Conservation Voters. In 2005, they joined the National Audubon Society as a Senior Program Manager and held various roles within the organization, including National Campaigns Manager and Policy Director for Audubon Great Lakes. Currently, they are the Senior Director of Policy for Audubon Great Lakes. Marnie also had experiences outside of the National Audubon Society, such as being the Ohio Field Manager at Moms Clean Air Force from 2011 to 2014 and working as a Senior Associate at R Strategy Group in 2012. Additionally, they served as the Co-Chair of the Board of Directors for the Healing Our Waters - Great Lakes Coalition from 2021 to 2022.

Marnie Urso completed the Robert W. Wilson Trust Natural Allies Environmental Leadership Program at the University of Cambridge's Judge Business School Executive Education in 2021. Prior to that, Marnie attended Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science and Environmental Studies.
