Shannon Reault

Senior Associate, Climate Science at National Audubon Society

Shannon Reault has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the field of climate science and geospatial analysis.

Starting in 2014, Shannon worked as a Task Employee for New England Beekeeping during the summers, before moving on to an internship at Drumlin Farm in 2017 as a Learning Garden Intern. In this role, Shannon provided educational support to visitors and campers, while also performing independent gardening tasks.

From 2019 to 2021, Shannon worked at Clark University as a GIS Support Assistant, providing assistance in geographic information systems. During this time, Shannon also participated in a Research Fellowship at the Human Environmental Research Observatory, where data collection and analysis for urban forestry research projects were conducted.

In 2020, Shannon briefly worked as a Geographic Information Systems Analyst at the Center for Development and Strategy, before securing an internship at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. Here, Shannon gained valuable experience as an Intern, contributing to various projects.

Most recently, Shannon served as a Geospatial Scientist at Jupiter Intelligence from 2021 to 2023. In this role, Shannon conducted geospatial analysis projects related to climate perils such as flood, fire, drought, and extreme heat. Responsibilities included interactive data visualization, data validation, development of Digital Elevation Models (DEM), and scaling of data engineering pipelines.

Currently, Shannon works as a Senior Associate in Climate Science at the National Audubon Society, starting in 2023.

Shannon Reault attended Clark University from 2016 to 2020, earning a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science and Geography. In 2020, they continued their education at Clark University and obtained a Master's degree in Geographic Information Science and Cartography. In the same year, they also completed another Master's degree in Geographic Information Science.
