Stephanie Cook

VP, Development at National Audubon Society

Stephanie Cook brings nearly 20 years of experience as a fundraiser and development team leader to Audubon in her role as Vice President for Development. At Audubon, she is responsible for leading the fundraising efforts across the Atlantic Flyway north of Washington DC, in support of local and state initiatives as well as national advocacy and conservation priorities. She is also responsible for the design and execution of Audubon’s nationwide events and donor engagement program.

Prior to joining Audubon, Stephanie led the Tristate regional advancement team for Syracuse University, where she was charged with building relationships with and securing philanthropic support from alumni, parents, and friends to ensure the future of the institution. She served as the university’s lead fundraiser in New York City and its surrounding communities and led the overall regional advancement strategy with local colleagues as well as those based on campus.

Stephanie previously worked in a similar capacity for Villanova University where she built the regional advancement program for Villanova in the Tri-state area and was instrumental in the expansion of the University’s regional advancement efforts in Boston, Chicago, DC, and the west coast. She previously served as a major gift officer for Columbia University and the Wildlife Conservation Society and supported the fundraising efforts of the Central Park Conservancy. She is a native of Madison, Wisconsin and holds a BFA from the University of Kentucky in acting and theatre a as well as an MS from Columbia University in fundraising and non-profit management.
