David Gall

Group Executive, Corporate and Institutional Banking at National Australia Bank

In a career that has spanned more than 25 years, David has experience in corporate and retail banking, working capital services, risk and payments.

Since joining NAB in 2008, David has held Group Executive and senior roles across the bank. He was appointed Chief Customer Officer, Corporate & Institutional Banking in October 2018 and is a member of NAB’s Executive Leadership Team

Previous to this, David spent four years as Chief Risk Officer where he had overall responsibility for the Risk function.

Throughout his career with NAB, David also held the roles of Executive General Manager - Banking & Wealth Solutions, Executive General Manager - Working Capital Services, Executive General Manager - Core Banking Transformation NextGen, and Executive General Manager - Corporate Banking & Specialised Businesses.

Prior to NAB, David worked at St George Bank where he held Group Executive roles in Strategy and Retail Business, sat on the bank’s credit management committee as well as undertaking senior leadership roles in corporate and business bank. David began his career at Barclays in Asset Finance and Commercial Banking.

David holds a Bachelor of Science from University of Melbourne, a Bachelor of Business (Banking & Finance) from Monash University, a Masters of Business Administration (Exec) from Australian Graduate School of Management, and is a Senior Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA). David is the President and a Board member of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA) and FINSIA Education.
