Lance Thornswood

Lance Thornswood is an experienced design executive currently serving as the Chief Design Officer at NAB since July 2022. Previously held the position of Senior Vice President and Head of Design at U.S. Bank, leading digital transformation initiatives. At JCPenney, Thornswood was the Senior Director of Omnichannel, where innovative mobile commerce solutions significantly boosted sales. Additionally, Thornswood co-founded an omnichannel retail agency while serving as VP Executive Creative Director at inRetail Agency, and had impactful roles at Target, TBWA\Chiat\Day, and The Stephenz Group, directing digital services and establishing creative teams. Educational qualifications include a BSE in Computer Science from Princeton University, an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management, and an MFA in Film & Television from UCLA.
