Steve Stepanian

Competiton License Program, Chief Instructor (socal Region) at National Auto Sport Association

Steve Stepanian has a diversified work experience spanning over several industries. Steve started their career in 1990 as an EMT 1-A Instructor at Pasadena City College. Steve then moved on to work as a Field Investigator/Negotiator at Mercury Insurance from 1990 to 1999. In 1999, they became the CEO/President of Stepco Insurance Agency, Inc., where they oversaw all aspects of the business and implemented high ethical standards.

In 2006, Steve joined Driving Concepts International as a Senior Instructor and remained in that role until 2015. In 2010, they became an Instructor at Precision Performance Driving, where they provided private performance driving instruction.

Steve's involvement in the BMW Car Club of America began in 2012, when they became the National Driving Events Committee Chariperson. In this position, they led and guided a committee responsible for research, procedures, and safety standards for the club. Steve also held several other roles within the club, including Pacific Region Driving Events Committee Representative and Chief Driving Instructor for the Los Angeles Chapter. In 2018, they became a National Competition Licensing Instructor for BMW CCA Club Racing, where they mentored and educated license candidates.

In 2014, Steve joined the National Auto Sport Association as the Chief Instructor for the Competition License Program in the SoCal Region. Steve developed and implemented a regional competition licensing program and created a new classroom presentation and on-track exercises to introduce door-to-door racing in a safe environment.

Throughout their career, Steve has demonstrated their ability to lead, mentor, and manage teams while maintaining high ethical standards in various industries.

Steve Stepanian has a Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Sciences from the University of La Verne, which they obtained from 1984 to 1988. Steve then pursued a Medic Certification from Pasadena City College from 1988 to 1990. In addition to their formal education, Steve has obtained several certifications. In 1997, they became an Insurance Agent (Health, Property, Casualty) after receiving training from the California Department of Insurance. In 2017, Steve became a member of the City of La Verne Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) through the Community Emergency Response Team. Steve also holds certifications as a Certified CPR Instructor & First Aid Instructor from the American Heart Association and a Certified First Aid and CPR Instructor from the American Red Cross, both obtained in March 2018. Additionally, Steve has obtained the CISR (Certified Insurance Services Representative) qualification in the insurance industry, although the exact dates of obtaining this certification are not provided.
