Brent S. Cannon

EVP, Director of Community Banking Group at National Bank of Arizona

Brent Cannon is Executive Vice President and Director of the Community Bank at National Bank of Arizona® where he leads an organization of 400 bankers and is responsible for 58 physical branches across the state. The Community Bank serves the financial needs of the Arizona consumer with a specific focus on the mass market (retail) and the affluent consumer segment (wealth). Additionally, The Community Bank under Brent’s leadership, serves the needs of one of the most important stakeholders in the Arizona economy, small business, which NB|AZ® defines as businesses with annual revenues of $10 million and less. A veteran banker with more than 28 years of experience in commercial and retail banking, Brent began his career with Wells Fargo Bank and has had the opportunity to work for several community banks, BBVA Compass, and NB|AZ since 2003. Brent’s roles in banking have spanned across effectively all functional areas including branch management, commercial lending, wealth, Treasury Management, and operations. He has held numerous senior and executive management positions including Director of Phoenix Commercial Banking, Manager of Treasury Management, Director of Community Commercial, Director of Retail Banking, and Director of Business Banking. Brent was a voting member of the Bank’s Senior Loan Committee, a member of the Bank’s Asset and Liability Committee, and is a current member of the Bank’s Executive Committee. He earned an MBA from Grand Canyon University and a B.S. in Accounting from Humboldt State University. He graduated from the Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington and has completed many industry-specific educational programs. Additionally, Brent is on faculty at Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington where he teaches Leadership to future and present banking executives.
