Ernestos Panayiotou

Ernestos Panayiotou currently serves as the General Manager - Chief Transformation Officer and Head of Strategy & International Activities at the National Bank of Greece since May 2019, and also holds the position of Board Member at the National Bank of Greece (Cyprus) since June 2024. Prior to this, Ernestos held various roles at McKinsey & Company, including Partner and Associate Partner from January 2012 to May 2019, and Engagement Manager. Earlier experience includes working as a Strategy Advisor at the National Bank of Greece between January 2006 and December 2011 and as a Consultant at McKinsey & Company from October 2001 to December 2005. Ernestos began professional development as a Summer Associate at McKinsey in 2000. Academic credentials include a Master’s in Public Administration/International Development from Harvard Kennedy School and a Bachelor’s in Philosophy, Politics & Economics from the University of Oxford.
