Nathan Schaefer, MSSA, is an accomplished public policy expert currently serving as the Senior Vice President of Public Policy & Access at the National Hemophilia Foundation since 2016, where responsibilities include advising and executing key federal and state policy objectives. Prior roles at the organization include Vice President of Public Policy and Senior Policy Director. Schaefer has an extensive background in advocacy and education, having served as an Adjunct Professor at Columbia University from 2009 to 2017, and as the Executive Director of the Empire State Pride Agenda, among other leadership roles in nonprofit organizations focused on health and social justice. Educational qualifications include a Master of Social Administration from Case Western Reserve University and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Interpersonal Communications, and Anthropology from Miami University.
