Alprentice McCutchen

National Board Certified Teacher at National Board for Professional Teaching Standards

Alprentice McCutchen is an experienced educator and national faculty member focused on project-based teaching and learning. Currently serving as a National Board Certified Teacher at New Rochelle High School since September 2018, Alprentice McCutchen has also worked with PBLWorks since May 2016 to assist various districts in enhancing their educational approaches. Previous teaching roles include positions at Elmsford Union Free School District, Wings Academy, and Central Park East Secondary School. Alprentice McCutchen is pursuing a PhD in Urban Education at The Graduate Center, City University of New York, and holds a Master of Arts in Islamic Studies from Middlesex University, a Master of Arts in Teaching of Social Studies from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Arts in History and African American Studies from Wesleyan University.
