Zach Curtis, MPP, currently serves as the Director of Policy at the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards, where responsibilities include rebuilding federal affairs and initiating state policy efforts to enhance teacher certification. Previously, Zach held the position of Manager of Government Relations at the Association for Career and Technical Education, advocating for legislative agendas and addressing the CTE teacher shortage. Earlier experience includes a Graduate Federal Policy Internship at the Learning Policy Institute and progressive roles at Bloomberg Government, culminating as an Account Executive. Zach began a professional journey in the U.S. House of Representatives as an intern and holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy with a focus on Education Policy from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of Oregon.
