Jon Thomas

Jon Thomas currently serves as Chair and member of the Board of Directors for the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), which focuses on enhancing quality in the medical profession through education. Additionally, Jon chairs the Committee for Individualized Review at the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) and holds various board and committee positions at the National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME) and Optum, including ENT Medical Director. Jon has extensive experience in otolaryngology, having served as an ENT surgeon at the University of Minnesota Physicians and Ear, Nose & Throat SpecialtyCare of Minnesota. Jon's leadership experience includes past roles as Chairperson of the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact Commission and Board Member at the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice. Educational credentials include an MBA in Medical Group Management from the University of St. Thomas and an M.D. from the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine, along with residency training at Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Otolaryngology.
