Tania Babina

Tania Babina is an accomplished academic and finance professional currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Columbia University in the City of New York and a Faculty Research Fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research since April 2023. With a strong background in research and teaching, Tania was previously a Research and Teaching Assistant at UNC Chapel Hill from August 2011 to May 2016 and has held key analytical roles, including Treasury Analyst at Regions Financial Corporation where significant contributions were made to forecasting Net Interest Income and improving asset/liability management. Tania also has experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Alabama and as a Project Coordinator at the Center for Strategic Design, where research and data analysis skills were honed. Tania holds a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master of Science in Finance from The University of Alabama.
