Matt Sherman

Senior Project Coordinator at National Capitol Contracting

Matt Sherman has a diverse range of work experience spanning various roles and industries. Matt started their career in 2001 as a Broadcaster, Update Anchor, Producer, and Board Operator at WMUA UMass Student Radio, where they were responsible for coordinating content and programming for sports broadcasts. Matt also performed play-by-play, color commentary, and tracked statistics for various sports.

In 2003, Matt worked as a Producer, Board Operator, and Broadcaster at WBNR/WLNA Radio, and later as a Scoreboard/Statistician at The Sports Network. In 2010, they served as an Editor at Bleacher Report, followed by a role as a Voiceover artist from 2009 to 2011, providing voice work for anime series and movies.

Matt joined National Capitol Contracting, LLC in 2011 as a Senior Editor. In this role, they provided quality control for diverse content, including transcription and closed captioning for clients such as the Department of Justice and the Securities and Exchange Commission. Matt also assisted and led training sessions for editors, performed verbatim copyediting, and was responsible for updating the company's website and internal blog.

At the same company, Matt transitioned to the role of Senior Project Coordinator in 2018, where they currently work.

Matt Sherman has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Matt also has a Certificate in Journalism from the same university.
