Alan Marnett is the Founder and CEO of BenchFly since May 2009, where the organization focuses on bridging the gap between the classroom and the workplace through video by utilizing traditional scientific engagement and communication methods. Additionally, Alan serves as a board member for the Tennessee Coalition for Health Science and BioSTEM Education, the National Career Academy Coalition, and the Vanderbilt University ASPIRE Program, all of which aim to enhance science and technology education and support career readiness for students. Alan's educational background includes a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Neuroscience from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a Ph.D. in Chemistry and Chemical Biology from the University of California, San Francisco, and a B.A. in Chemistry from Trinity University.
