Irine Darchia is a prominent academic and educational leader with extensive experience in higher education and quality assurance. Currently serving as President at the Hellenic Institute of Cultural Diplomacy Georgia and Deputy Director at the TSU Institute of Classical, Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies, Irine has held various significant positions at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University since 1996, including Associate Professor in Classics and Vice-Rector. Irine's expertise extends to national and international educational reform, having worked as an Authorization and Accreditation Expert for the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement and as a Higher Education Reform Expert for the National Tempus Office Georgia.
