Shannon Jeffries, M.Ed. has a diverse range of work experience in the education and nonprofit sectors. Currently, they serve as the Manager of Partnership Development at the National Center for Family Philanthropy, where they are responsible for developing and implementing a growth and engagement strategy for partner members. Prior to this, Shannon worked at Ìccpadé as the Co-Creator of The Tanna Fund, a role they continue to hold. Shannon also worked as a Project Lead/Consultant at P.S. 314, inc., where they directed a cross-functional team and developed a strategic plan to support fundraising goals. Additionally, Shannon served as the Assistant Director of Partnerships & Programs at New Futures DC, overseeing program design, budget management, and scholarship distribution. Shannon also worked as an Adjunct Faculty member at the University of Maryland Global Campus and as the Program Manager for College & Career at DCI - District of Columbia International School, where they achieved a 97% college acceptance rate for the first graduating class. Shannon has prior experience as a Faculty Member at Montgomery College, where they provided counseling and retention strategies for college students. Shannon also worked in admissions and program coordination roles at the University of Maryland, managing transfer programs and evaluating applications. Shannon began their career as a counseling intern in both secondary and primary education settings at District of Columbia Public Schools and Prince George's County Public Schools, respectively.

Shannon Jeffries, M.Ed. completed their Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Counselor Education/School Counseling and Guidance Services at the University of Maryland from 2015 to 2017. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology from The Ohio State University, where they studied from 2011 to 2015.

In addition to their degrees, Shannon has also obtained several certifications to enhance their professional skills. In October 2021, they received a Grant Writing Certificate from The University of Georgia. Shannon also holds a Leadership Education Certificate from PCACAC - Potomac and Chesapeake Region, obtained in May 2021. In October 2020, they completed the courses "Content Marketing: Newsletters" and "Email and Newsletter Marketing Foundations" on LinkedIn. Recently, in March 2022, they obtained certifications in "Stakeholder Engagement Strategy" and "Fundamentals of Project Management" from Philanthropy University.
