Ravindra Kailasrao Zirmire, PhD, is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the National Centre for Biological Sciences, focusing on heart regeneration and cardiac fibrosis, as well as a Co-Founder at PhytoKosh, where efforts are directed toward developing a novel therapy for Dengue fever. Previously, Zirmire served as a Venture Capital Fellow at VC Lab and as a Research Project Manager at Eyestem Research, establishing iPSC-derived organoid technology for lung organoids and developing iPSC-based cell therapy for lung fibrosis. Zirmire completed a PhD at the Institute for Stem Cell Science and Regenerative Medicine, researching therapeutic molecules for diabetic wound healing and fibrosis, and has experience as a Junior Research Fellow studying extracellular matrix stiffness in cardiomyocytes. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Biotechnology from the University of North Bengal and a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology from Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University.
