Lisa Fenderson

Lisa Fenderson is a seasoned music educator with extensive experience in teaching and conducting. Currently a Theory lecturer and Musicianship instructor at California State Polytechnic University-Pomona and Azusa Pacific University, respectively, Lisa has also contributed significantly to the National Children's Chorus as Associate Conductor and Principal Associate Conductor since 2012. In addition, Lisa Fenderson has been providing classical piano training at Lisa Fenderson Piano Studio since 1978 and served as Choral Director at San Gabriel Christian School from 1992 to 2014, focusing on artistic choral performance for young children. With a Master of Music in Choral Conducting from California State University, Los Angeles and a Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of Southern California, Lisa holds Kodály Certification from the Kodály Association of Southern California, emphasizing a commitment to promoting musical literacy and artistic development through the Hungarian Kodaly Methodology.
