Tejal Patel

Tejal Patel is a seasoned professional in public health and maternal health equity, currently serving as a Senior Research Associate at NCQA since April 2024. Prior to this role, Tejal was a Senior Program Associate at Rhia Ventures, where responsibilities included leading impact measurement initiatives in reproductive and maternal health, developing assessment metrics, and collaborating with community alliances. Earlier experience includes directing programs at the What To Expect Project, managing key maternal health projects during the COVID-19 pandemic, and consulting on research and evaluation projects for organizations such as the Louisiana Public Health Institute. Tejal holds a Doctorate in Public Health from Tulane University, a Master's in Applied Developmental Psychology from the University of New Orleans, and a Bachelor's in Psychology from Virginia Tech.
