Marilyn Wellington is the Chief Strategy & Operations Officer at the National Conference of Bar Examiners since June 2022, where responsibilities include guiding strategic initiatives and overseeing operations, particularly the development of a new generation of the bar exam set for first administration in 2026. Previously, Marilyn served as Executive Director of the Massachusetts Board of Bar Examiners from September 2010 to July 2022, managing the evaluation of qualifications for law practice licensure and the administration of the Massachusetts bar exam. Additional experience includes roles as Executive Director of the Massachusetts Bar Association, Court Management Consultant at the National Center for State Courts, Chief of Staff for the Massachusetts Trial Court, and Assistant General Counsel at the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health. Education credentials include a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from New England Law | Boston and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Music Education from Emmanuel College.
