Emily Katz

Emily Katz currently serves as the Associate Legislative Director for Education and Human Services at the National Conference of State Legislatures, a position held since November 2022, where responsibilities include analyzing federal legislative changes and advocating for policy priorities. Previously, Katz worked as a Policy Analyst at the Center for American Progress and held various roles at The Aspen Institute, Harvard Education Redesign Lab, and Child Trends, contributing to research and policy development in education and health. Katz possesses a Master of Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education and a Bachelor of Arts from Dickinson College, with a focus on policy management and sociology.
