Latrice Mallard

Mental Health First Aid Instructor

Latrice Mallard, MAM, APRN, PMHNP-BC, currently serves as an Adjunct Instructor in Fundamentals at Baton Rouge Community College and as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at Open Health Care Clinics. As the owner of Heart to Heart, LLC, Latrice focuses on decreasing mental health stigma through mental health education using the Mental Health First Aid curriculum. Latrice also holds the position of Minister of Mental and Spiritual Care with the Louisiana Conference of the United Methodist Church and is a Mental Health First Aid Instructor for the National Council for Behavioral Health. Previous roles include serving as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at Start Corporation and as a member of Mayor Broome’s Behavioral Health Task Force. Latrice’s extensive educational background includes a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama, a Master of Arts in Ministry from Asbury Theological Seminary, and current studies towards a Doctorate of Nursing Practice at Herzing University.
