Brendan Martin has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Brendan most recently worked at the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN), where they served as the Research Director since October 2020. Prior to that, Brendan held positions as an Associate Research Director and a Senior Research Scientist at NCSBN.

Brendan then proceeded to obtain a Master's degree from the University of Chicago, specializing in Social Sciences, during the period of 2008 to 2009. Following this, Brendan earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Research Methodology and Quantitative Methods from Loyola University Chicago from 2013 to 2017. Additionally, in 2004 and 2005, Brendan attended Université catholique de l'Ouest, where they studied French, although they did not obtain a specific degree during this time.
