Children's Poetry Book Award Member at National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE)

Joe Pizzo possesses extensive experience in education and community service, actively contributing to various organizations since 2011. Currently serving as a Children's Poetry Book Award Member at the National Council of Teachers of English, responsibilities include historical documentation and podcast creation featuring educational leaders. As a Steering Committee Member for NJ Autism Think Tank, Joe Pizzo focuses on enhancing autism treatment through training design. Additional roles include providing pro bono consultancy for Edison You Win, producing podcasts on authorship for DisruptED TV, contributing to digital literacy initiatives through Fordham University, and serving on the executive board of NJAMLE. Joe Pizzo has also been a staff announcer for WNTI 91.9 FM, a reviewer for NJ Schools to Watch, and has held various teaching and advisory roles at Black River Middle School since 1975, including curriculum design and leadership in drama and video news production. Joe Pizzo's educational background includes Bachelor of Arts and Master of Education degrees in English Education from Trenton State College and Centenary University.
